Video: Kimi’s Last Podium with Ferrari

https://i0.wp.com/img27.imageshack.us/img27/5543/evenstarsays.png While we wait for the Abu Dhabi highlight video (and maybe some important news regarding Kimi’s future in F1) here is a cut from the Italian GP highlight video, which was ironically Kimi’s final podium finish for the Scuderia. It was total coincidence by me that the video ended up the way it is – an emotional farewell. But as a fan I guess I could feel it coming. Kimi has been receiving criticism from Italian media for not showing any sadness after the his last race with Ferrari in Abu Dhabi – but he clearly showed emotion in Italy as he knew it would be his last race there as a Ferrari driver.

I wish they would all stop criticizing Kimi. He is a wonderful driver. I used to be a diehard Ferrari fan and I thought I’d support them forever. Then Kimi came along. And now he’s leaving. And I find that I want to follow him, not Ferrari!! That’s cause he’s amazing, isn’t he?? :):)

Same has happened with me….and i’m sure it has happened with many….Kimi is the only driver that has left Ferrari and has increased his rate of fans(which have turned from ferrari to kimi fans….and now maybe turning into mclaren fans…lol) more than ever……

Read some news in a french site. Really driving me nuts now. It told that the agreement still not done because of salary. And Kimi`s crew is not willing to compromise further. **It`s bit too much now. C`mon Robertson please sign the contract**

Great vid! made me feel so sad though 😦 Don’t know why the Italian Press are being so critical, when Kimi won the 2007 WDC he said he loved the team and hopes Ferrari will be his last team in F1…in return Ferrari treat him like crap the way they handled things with Kimi in the last month or so has been so undignified. It’s just scapegoating in my opinion, and I think that ‘better driver’ Massa having an injury made matters worse because Kimi + Alonso is a million times stronger line up than Alonso + Massa but obviously they couldn’t sack him.I’ve been a Ferrari fan as long as I’ve been an F1 fan, in fact they’re the reason why I got into F1 in the first place back in 2004. I didn’t know too much about the sport in 2006, but I was a die-hard Schumacher fan and thought Kimi being his successor must be really good…..I was wrong, Kimi was AMAZING! Thanks to Evenstar and her wonderful site, it’s been so insightful that I’ve just been crazy about Kimi, my favourite driver of all time in F1 and now I’m going all the way with Kimi, screw Ferrari those indignified scapegoating idiots :@ Kimi 2010: Return with a vengeance!

Oh and Evenstar, could you please tell me the background music in the vid? I’ve heard it so many times but don’t know the name…absolutely fantastic choice to put for this vid! made me so emotional, but there’s comfort in knowing wherever it is, whatever sport it is..Kimi’s legacy will live on!

Thanks Evenstar! You’re absolutely awesome 😀 Should have guessed it’s by Hans Zimmer – amazing composer!@ Zero: that’s so true, Kimi isn’t phased by this sort of stuff…I just don’t like how in all of this Kimi is being made out to be some sort of inferior driver which annoys me but if anything the Ferrari team have just demonstrated how stupid they really are to lose the great Kimi. LOL Felipe baby haha, there’d be riots in brazil if he got sacked.

Kathryn, Rahim and Prince Sultan. I’m exactly like you – a former die-hard Ferrari fan but ever since what happened, not anymore! Kimi all the way now!I don’t care what the Italian press say anymore. I am tired of fighting. They’re all idiots and Kimi will prove them all wrong!

Oh God! That was emotional to watch again! I got tears in my eyes….and I know for a fact after having watched this video again that Kimi IS/was sad about leaving Ferrari, he arrived there and felt right at home and he vowed to make it his last team in F1, so for him to be "fired" or having his contract terminated can´t have been pleasant. Even if they sat down with him and both parties eventually agreed to part ways, the part about him wanting Ferrari to be his last team is what hurts the most….I know he must be used to all the business crap part of F1 but still….it hurts. I wanna see him thrive again….and happy, above anything, happy.KEEP FLYING KIMI!!!

The music for that video.. wow. I nearly cried. And I completely agree with Sol123 about the part that he wanted Ferrari to be his last team. *sighs* I was waiting to go to the Malaysian GP next year and I was looking forward to wearing my Ferrari cap but now, obviously NOT. Imagine someone wearing a Ferrari cap and shouting: "Go, Kimi! Go Kimi!" haha. Cause that’s what I’d be doing. lolAnd Saima, I think I owe a lot to you – my being a big Kimi fan. Of course, it was mostly the Iceman himself, but this site sure helped a lot!!
