Ferrari Team QuotesKimi Raikkonen – 10th: "The car is not bad to
drive, but it is simply slow and lacks grip, as in fact has been the
case very often this year. It’s not as though there is a specific
reason why it’s not going well, but most of all, its down to our choice
to stop development of the F60, so our performance level compared to
the others is going down race by race, given that so many teams are
still working on this year’s cars.

"There are only a few corners where you can make a difference, near
the start of the lap. Then there are so many heavy braking points and
slow speed corners, where stability on entry and acceleration on exit
are the important factors. Going from daylight to artificial light?
After two races in Singapore, it doesn’t cause a problem. The pitlane
exit? In terms of its layout it’s quite similar to Interlagos, except
there’s a wall instead of a guardrail."

Chris Dyer: "It was a Friday like so many others we
have experienced this season. We were able to complete our entire
programme with both drivers and picked up a lot of data to analyse this
evening and tomorrow, in preparation for qualifying and the race. Our
race pace seems pretty good, while we are struggling to get a good time
out of the car on the first timed lap, which could go against us in
qualifying. As for the tyre performance, it is not yet clear, at least
from what we have seen today, which will be the quickest compound to
use for qualifying, so we might see some different choices to usual."

What do u guys think of this article?…2010 Grid Rumours IntensifyThe 2010 driver market has recieved some pretty surprising news; Timo Glock is in talks with McLaren. It is well known that Mercedes are desperate to promote a German driver of two for the teams they either supply or own part of. With Mercedes close to buying part of Brawn, Nico Rosberg is believed to have signed a three-year deal with the British outfit. On the other hand, McLaren are believed to have baulked at the idea of paying Kimi Raikkonen the wage he demands, and are believed, according to well-placed sources, to be discussing a rolling-contract deal with Timo Glock, with set targets for him to match to earn a contract for the following years.Glock’s manager had promised a big surprise for his driver this week, and it is believed that this is the surprise that is entailed.Toyota are close to finalizing their first driver, Heikki Kovalainen. Kovalainen has been told by McLaren that they no longer require his services, to the disappointment of Lewis Hamilton, but Heikki has now reportedly signed a two-year deal with Toyota, where he will be partnered by Kamui Kobayashi.Kimi Raikkonen is reportedly ready to fall back on a deal with Toyota to force out Kobayashi as he currently has no contract and lead an all-Finnish team.Lotus are ready to sign Jarno Trulli and will offer him a one-year deal with an option to a two-year deal.Ferrari have already secured their line-up with Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, Toro Rosso are reportedly willing to re-sign both of their drivers, and Force India look likely to do the same.More on the drivers’ market as we receive it.Michael Griffinhttp://www.f1times.co.uk/2010-grid-rumours-intensify-1059.html

Well as the 2009 season comes to an end the rumors are intensifying this weekend specially regarding the Mclaren 2nd seat. Yesterday it was Glock now it’s Heidfeld who they say will be driving in Macca….as much as these stories anger and worry me since Kimi made it clear it’s either Macca or nothing but i don’t think it’s safe or right to believe them….remember most of them come either from the German or cheap media and the fact Haug and Whitmarsh said good things about those 2 drivers means nothing, they said the same for Heikki.Plus Mclaren Mercedes made it clear that they want the best 2 drivers available driving for them and also hinted they would like to have 2 champs in their team: Lewis is one but for sure neither Timo or Nick are the best they’re good or average but that’s all.At the end if Macca decide to go that way by not choosing Kimi then it’s their loss and it would show that they’re not wise at all and even dumber than Ferrari not to mention the big number of fans they will loose and that they would have gained with Kimi and it would ruin their image in front of the public for turning down the 2007 champ and ending his F1 career.

Have you guys read this report from Autosport? Someone seriously needs to tell Howett that it’s NOT about the MONEY for Kimi."We tried to get Robert but he decided that Renault was more interesting," Howett told AUTOSPORT. "We are interested in Kimi although he has indicated that we hadn’t had contact and he is only interested in McLaren. Obviously from our side, if that is the situation it is fairly clear in which direction we want to go in."Even two or three years ago we indicated that we would like Kimi and, if he was available, we would be interested. We’ve put forward what we felt was an offer that we could sustain regardless of the budget situation, and so far it was obviously not appealing enough. So fine."
