Happy Birthday.  I’m sure Kimi will dedicate his victory to your loyal support next time he visits your dreams!
If Ferrari haven’t noticed your wondeful site they are missing out!
And if Kimi hasn’t hears about you yet it’s because he holds his friends very close and they protect his privacy sooo carefully.
Good race for you and Kimi.  He shows his class whenever he gets the chance.
The legal stuff is a great shame, it’s my belief, from what is published, that Ron Dennis was not party to any of it, nor was Lewis.
Pedro seems to have kept in touch with Coughlin who kept in touch with Stepney. Pedro seems to have made or maintained contact with Alonso who was prepared to use the information passed down the line.
So why is Ron punished and the Alonso / Pedro given indemnity?
It doesn’t detract from Kimi’s result this weekend but it does lower the standing of F1 in the world of sport.
I also wonder who was the target of Ferrari’s vendetta and are they satisfied now that an innocent and honest man has been penalised.  Punished but not shamed in the eyes who have followed Ron and Jean Todt history in motor sport.
Enough said, there’s a championship to win and a the future of F1 to promote as a forulae for the fastest race cars on road circuits where the best drivers make a difference to teams. Future technology formula have no part in racing, racing is for drivers.
Lets back the 3.5litre V10’s without ‘starwars’ cars and more power than downforc and NO electronic aids at all.
Happy birthday again. Thankyou for your input through the year.  Follow the dream!

Haha, oh dear, you’ve made me sound like a mad and obsessed woman! Thanks very much, I appreciate your comments! I have to agree with you, particularly on Ron Dennis. I feel sorry for him.But at least Kimi made us smile today, I was thrilled to see him doing doughnuts! And to think he may even get fined by the FIA for it – he meant it in best interests for the sport, honestly!

It was an excellent race from Kimi indeed! Plenty of other superb drives too, especially from Heikki – he’s maturing very well. A good day for Finland 🙂 Don’t forget to download the video of Kimi’s pass on Coulthard! I posted it in the news 🙂

Driver of the Day – Kimi. Courageous and fast in spite of his teams performance.
It should have been Webber but he didn’t finish (wasn’t Finnish),
Button did well too, as he tends to in the rain. To stop on the last lap was cruel.
So many pit stop strategies spoilt by pace car interludes. Why don’t they use the two seater F1 cars.
Lewis? He gets the prize money, the cuedos and the reputation as the man that has to be beaten. No mistakes and pretty quick.
Lets see Alonso and Raikonen swap seats for next year. Alonso believes he’s a Ferrari man anyway.
And Raikonen only got fed up with breakdowns last year and didn’t believe honest Ron’s assurances that he’s fix it.

I’ll go to Shanghai the day after tomorrow.Exciting~!!
It said Hamilton has been in Shanghai…I don’t like him…
    Kimi~hope u will get a satisfied result in China~
As a Chinese fan,I really want to see u get the No.1~

    Well done again Kimi.
All the other stuff that’s been going on has nothing to do with your good self and should not detract from your results.
Another honest driver matching himself against all comers.
I deeply suspect more shinanigans in the affairs of motorsport but I’m happy to applaud any man who is happy to compete honestly.
Well done. I think next years rules will suit your style and look forward to a good clean chamionship.
I do hope all these politics are not affecting your commitment to motor racing.
Close racing, some fair overtaking by drivers, not pit crew, is what we all want.
    Keep it going, OldeWalde

Hi Saima. Great race from Kimi, always the same guy no matter what happens. Great they finally found a good set-up for him, you can actually see it on all the pics of Chris Dyer – he´s just so happy they finally got it.
Just wanted to say thanks for your commentary After thoughts from the Chinese GP on everything that´s going down in the business, couldn´t agree more. If it wasn´t for Kimi I would stop watching the sport, it seems it´s all about money and secrets arrangements, deals, favouritism and in-talk on the toplevel
Which is why Kimi is so refreshing, never gets involved, no backstabbing, he just wants to drive.
Also thanks for all the videos, great stuff, loved all the Finnish flags on this one. Your site is so appreciated.
Go Kimi, no matter what happens you will always be my no. 1.

  21. Olde

Well Done Kimi. You’ve had your breakdowns and so on and have always fought the good fight. Hopefully the political stuff won’t cloud your title in anyway and certainly doesn’t reduce you as one of the few straight and fair drivers out there. Next year is enormously promising with no throttle monkeys. No Traction Control and hopefully no start boosters. Back to the quality of the driver to make the best of the car. You and Lewis. Perhaps Webber the Aussi and certainly Button.
Anyone else demonstrated real car control this year or consistency? It will be a good season, I wish this one hadn’t been so damaged by outside issues. Well Done. Crowned the Champion against some tough opposition. Wish you’d stayed at McLaren though.

*Big hug for you Rish*Hi! I’m very touched by your words, and I know how much that day means to all the fans including me. I guess the video successfully portrayed the feelings! If you wanna chat just email me, or join the KRS forum and there’s also the chat box further down the homepage. And, if all your F1 buddies are anti-Raikkonen, then they must be anti-racing to an extent, because Kimi’s by far the best racer out there lol! Thanks again!

    here, for  Kimi.
    keeep flying!!!!!
i went to monza and I shared emotions with Kimi’s finnish supporters, it was wonderful!
in that week end I also see and meet Kimi at de la ville hotel and take a photo with him… unexpected and thrilling occasion!
so, to share my occasion with you, I can say that Kimi is really the sincere, shy and very very kind person that we can feel as supporters. a champion in life and in races.

Kimi is truly the best F1 driver in today’s stable of competitive athletes. He is cool, calm and focused. Never has a bad comment to say about anyone. Many people make fun of his speech and lackluster answers but the truth is is, ‘The Iceman’ does his talking on the track. A true winner. I hope he’s around for many years.

Kimi Raikkonen, is the only reason why I love F1 so much.   Without him I won’t be bother when & where is the next race? next testing? How is the result? Who is quicker? How is each F1 team’s progress especially Ferrari… … etc  Because of Kimi, I have not missed to watch any F1 live racing on TV since I knew him started from 2005, the race in Nurburing except I was on the plane to Vienna on the racing day in Brazil 2006.  My heart is always with Kimi no matter he win or lose.  His first champion on 21st Oct 2007 has brighten my days for few weeks.  I could sleep after finished watching the race at 2am, I can’t stop smiling when I think about this happy moment even when I’m walking, working, eating, driving… even now ~~ 4 months later 🙂  Really looking forward to see Kimi racing again.  Wish him a very good year 2008!  Kimi all the BEST to U!  ~  YUSS590

Kimi is the ice cool man. Didn’t appreciate his podium performance but under the eye lid surely hurts.
It has been a real pleasure this year to see the podium enjoying themselves and celebrating with each other.
I know he’s the cool man, but show some enjoyment for your sort, it pays the bills.
It was also annoying to hear a snidy comment about Kimi on a drinking weekend on ITV coverage.
How he relaxs is not the issue, how he races and entertains us is.
He finds it hard to show his feelings in public. I think we should snd him Saima all wrapped up in thermals, that’ll warm him up.

    March 31, 2008 at 7:55 pm

  33. KRS Evenstar

Hi OldeWalde! I can’t remember what ITV said, but meh – it’s not the first time, even Martin Brundle had the nerve to mimick Kimi during the podium ceremony! I wish Kimi would let loose a bit too, but we know he’s happy. He could suprise never know. But seeing him win and flying is the best entertainment indeed!I don’t know about myself in those overalls, I’d be a sweaty mess!

Great to see a little history of Kimi on the ITV coverage of the GP recently.  Lovely shot of the iceman crying his heart out on the podium after his first F1 win. We know there’s a real man behind the mask. No shame in showing it sometimes Kimi. And please show some respect for your competitors on the podium, they measure them selves against you, the World Champion. If they’ve done well then your greeting means more than the cup they get. Schamacher has gone, help sport to show it’s face again, I know you love it really.

Hmm…I think that was Barrichello they were talking about in the Turkish GP race build up, OldeWalde! As far as I remember, Kimi never cried when he won his first GP lol.

I’d be surprised if you were wrong, Saima. Lets hope for more races like monaco but with all the front runners engaged in honest racing. Thanks for your site. Olde Walde.

I came here via via and I admit; this is a nice site/weblog/fanpage or how you would call it.Keep up the good work (Y)

    May 31, 2008 at 11:07 pm

  42. Olde

Well, non of the front runners but, well no, not really a good race at the end. Kimi knows how Sutil felt, Lewis knows how Kimi felt at monaco. At least they were both out on the spot and the championship remains close. Europe to come, Koivenen with a career to slavage, Coulthard will be crowing for years to come and Circuit Giles Villeneuve lives up to it’s reputation for unusual results.
And it looked so promising, Ferrari getting going after ten laps, Lewis with not a lot of fuel, everything to play for – at least the winner and secound, deserved a break. Shame it didn’t break as easy for Barrichello and Button. Olde Walde

Thanks Annabell! Yes, the Windows Live server seems to be having some issues, I’m sorry the photos/videos aren’t working yet. I have uploaded everything but unfortunately, it’s out of my hands. It should be working soon. Just like with Kimi’s disappointing first race result, there’s also some disappointments with the website at the moment!

Hi Saima, I read an interview of you, in which i found the real spirit of us Kimi fans :)and "Who is Kimi Räikkönen for you? My world. I can only be honest about it. You know, those blank spaces between everything in your life, your family, your friends, your job/study? Kimi fills up those spaces for me and he affects everything. There hasn’t been a single day I haven’t supported him or mentioned his name, since I became his fan. "This is so true!!! Because of Kimi, we are able to gather together here, although we live in different part of the world, and keep moving on with him together!!! He makes my life feel so full. That’s why I’m so grateful to him and love him so much!!!I really can’t imagine one day our world is without him…maybe it’s in the distant future but maybe it’s soon…Hopefully, at that time we can still be together!

Just for fun, I have sent this to all the mails I could find on Ferrari’s homepage. It’s a good thing to be able to reconsider and evaluate.Love ShantiBanco Santander want to sponsor Fernando Alonso in FerrariBy h.b. – Sep 24, 2008 – 7:48 AMFernando Alonso – Archive Photo EFEThe bank say they will pay the clause for an early end to the contract for Kimi Raikkonen.Banco Santander, current formula one sponsors of the McLaren team, are reported to want to sponsor a Ferrari team as soon as possible, provided that it contains the Spanish driver Fernando Alonso. Reports in the Spanish sports paper ‘Marca’ indicate that the bank is prepared to pay the costs of a contract clause so that Kimi Raikkonen can leave Ferrari before the end of his contract. The paper says that under the plan Alonso will drive for Ferrari in 2011, or even a year earlier if a deal can be done with Raikkonen.

First of all, Excellent site. Kimi your no.1, if you move to Toyota or Mclaren, I have no doubt you will shine. You overcame all the odds at Brazil, Brilliant Drive. But I would love to see you driving for Toyota, even marketing wise it makes sense and they love rally, as much as you do. The only one hot in Abu Dhabi, is Kimi Raikkonen, you are the BEST
