Praise For Kimi’s Commitment at Brazil

https://i0.wp.com/img27.imageshack.us/img27/5543/evenstarsays.png These are some quotes taken from around the media and blogosphere after the dramatic Brazilian GP, where Kimi gets the credit he deserved. And remember today is the 21st October – Kimi World Champion Day.

Manager Steve Robertson: "Kimi was lucky in that situation. When the car
was moving he felt the gas hitting his eyes. Kimi drove left and was
about to jump out of the car when he realised that the flames died and
continued driving.

That situation proved once again how Kimi can take a situation
like that in a cool way and immediately leave it behind him. For most
drivers those flames would have been such a big shock that they would
not have continued the race."

F1Badger – It’s A Good Job He’s The Iceman: "It’s a bit of an understatement to say fire’s a bit bad, but in the
relatively confined enclosure of a Formula One pit lane, it can be
quite disastrously lethal. However yesterday, it was fire that learnt
not to play with Kimi Raikkonen.

With the apt pseudonym of Iceman,
Kimi’s Ferrari breezed through the flames with alarming grace, causing
many to wonder whether the ridiculously unflappable Finn was truly from
another planet."

Vee8 –  "Massive, massive kudos to
Kimi Räikkönen for driving through the fire which resulted from
Kovalainen’s premature pit box exit. The fuel was more or less being
sprayed into his face, and flames briefly exploded all around him. Yet
he kept his foot down and kept driving.

After the race, he said his eyes were still burning! Yet he plodded
on. As far as I’m concerned he could have been blinded by that sort of
thing. He must have huge balls. And people say he doesn’t have
motivation.
"

Times Online – "[…] This was a day that reminded us of the risks, the dangers, the dash of lunacy required to go wheel to wheel at 200mph. Take Kimi Raikkonen who was struck on the first lap, lost a wing,
came in for repairs and was splattered with fuel when Heikki Kovalainen
pulled away with the hose still attached. The next thing Raikkonen knew
he was on fire.

“I ended up with some drops of petrol in my eye and then I was
engulfed in flames and blinded,” Raikkonen said. He did, of course,
just carry on.
No wonder Damon Hill once said that a driver had to be “bonkers” to win a world championship […]"

I love your Iceman Cometh pic – that is total coolness! 🙂 I’m really hoping that he’ll win at Abu Dhabi – it will be a fitting end to this chapter of his career. He started at Ferrari with pole, fastest lap and the race win, so it’ll be great if he could close it with a win, or failing that, a podium. Go Kimi!!!

Hi Saima,Very nice comments on KIMI, the ICEMAN! :)) The Finnish Superhero Kimi picture is amazing! You are very gifted and you have a very good imagination making all the nice pictures of our hero Kimi. Many thanks to you for all the nice stuff you give us all to enjoy!I can’t wait to see Kimi in Abu Dhabi. I pray and hope that he will win. It would ve a good finish for the end of the season. It is very difficult for me to try to be patient with the information of Kimi’s plans for next year. I want to se him in Formula 1 in a good theam with nice and understanding people. I hope that he gets a winning car. I read today that now he has two options in Formula one: McLaren and Toyota. I hope he will choose McLaren!:)

in these days I’m reading a lot to try to get some news about Kimi’s future team, but, also if it seems that colud be not so real the redebull’s option, news speak about toyota now. well….but Kimi hasn’t said that he’s plianning for a top team? are mclaren chances so far now?what about the sweet remembering that moments….there are no words. I cried a lot and I partecipate with him to this full joy. it’s a sweet remembering also for him and is can be read from his words in column when he speaksa bout button’s victory. he knows perfectly what are the emotions….I wish that he can feel them all another time. massa, button, nando, hammie, barrichello, kubica and all the others have nothing as Kimi. Kimi is KIMI!!!!!!!!! Kimi is THE CHAMPION.

Rahim!!!! Really? I feel that too!!! That would be the "grande finale" and then arrivederci to the reds. :)I wouldn’t think F60 would be good enough for a win but with a little miracle and with Kimi (who is a miracle himself)? Who knows? Let’s wait and see! Go, get ’em Räikkönen’s boy!!!! 😀 Kinga
