Finland’s postal service is to celebrate the success of the country’s
reigning Formula One world champion, Kimi Raikkonen, with a special
sheet of stamps to be issued next month.

The stamps, released as
part of a series to help mark the Finnish postal service’s 370th
birthday, include images of Raikkonen on track for Ferrari and on the
podium celebrating victory at this year’s Malaysian Grand Prix. The
pictures are accompanied by the text ‘F1 World Champion ’07 Kimi
Raikkonen’.

Raikkonen will be presented with his own special
copy of the stamps on September 4 – a day before their official release
– at Belgium’s Spa-Francorchamps circuit, immediately ahead of that
weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix.

Now all the Kimi fans can give the Iceman a lick and not worry about their tongue getting stuck. And the weekend the stamps will be issued out, before the Belgian GP, should hopefully be the race Kimi stamps on his authority again for the fourth consecutive time at the Spa Franchorchamps circuit!

Kimi: I’m As Hungry As Ever
From F1-Live.com

Kimi Raikkonen has rubbished suggestions that, with a world championship under his belt, he can now afford to slow down.

Also denying media gossip that he and his wife Jenni are now ready
to have children, the Ferrari driver explained that he will pursue
victory with the same rigour in 2008.

"I am still exactly the same," Raikkonen told the German newspaper Bild-Zeitung.
If I race, then I want to be at the front. It is never fun to be
fifth and sixth, and even a third place no longer feels good to me.

"I only want to win," he added.

Raikkonen said that, even as the reigning world champion in 2008, his ultimate target this year is another crown.

"Of course I want more," he said. "Whoever thinks I am tired and satisfied is wrong.
If we do not collect two championship trophies at the end of the season, we will be disappointed."

https://i0.wp.com/i11.photobucket.com/albums/a188/SaimaAzam/Misc/krsevenstarsmall3.png The date of the article was the 28th January 2008, so sorry if you were thinking this was the latest news! Someone had posted it in the Ferrari forums (without the link/source) yesterday so I thought it was new as well. But I guess it’s a good reminder for us in this present time, that Kimi certainly isn’t slacking.

Even if it´s old news, like you said, it´s a reminder for all of those around the world who keep saying that Kimi has given up and lost motivation.Valencia will be red, red, red, and Kimi will be on fire since he likes new circuits so much!

Lol at your bit about the stamps! I’m sure there’s plenty of women out there who wouldn’t mind getting their tongue stuck on the Iceman!Shame that Bild piece isn’t new, then maybe the press and his critics would leave him to get on with the job he’s paid to do instead of constantly banging on about him retiring. And only winning feels good? I’m sure his 3rd place at Hungary felt very good!

"’Cause sometimes you feel tired, feel weak, and when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up. But you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength and just pull that sh** out of you and get that motivation to not give up and not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse…" I think these lyrics from Eminem suit Kimi incredibly much…! He had a tough 2008 but we see he did not give up! He kept flying and he always will. Kimi will always be our champion, no matter what happens. What’s important is that we know he is still the best, and this is what Kimi himself needs: knowing that we support him with every ounce of support we can muster!! So Kimi, keep flying, we are all right behind you… The best of luck from your biggest fan!!

Wonderful comment, Christina! 😀 You’re 100% right. I think that’s why Kimi likes Eminem, well I dunno if he still listens to his stuff but he used to! lol
