Ferrari Team Quotes Kimi Raikkonen: “Of course I would have preferred to
have started from further up the grid, but I think we did our best
today. We knew it would be hard to be at the front, but all the same,
this is a good position, especially as the gaps between the front
runners are pretty tight. With more fuel on board, the car handles
better than on a light load and that was the case again in this
qualifying session. Such an unusual grid makes it even harder to make
any predictions for tomorrow and we will have to make the most of any
opportunities that present themselves. The final outcome will depend a
lot on the first two corners after the start. The fact the car handles
differently at various sections of the track can be explained by the
lack of aerodynamic downforce we have this season.”

Chris Dyer: “We are a bit disappointed because, after
yesterday’s showing, we expected a better result. Sixth place for Kimi
must be assessed in the light of the different fuel loads of all the
cars in the top ten. We believe we have come up with a good strategy
and, given the car’s performance over a long run, we expect that, yet
again, we can fight for a place on the podium. As for Luca, everyone
can see that, day by day, his performance level is improving:
unfortunately, it is not yet at a sufficient level to see him through
at least to Q2.”

That was an amazing session! Congrats to Fisi for a superb pole – and a very solid P6 for Kimi! All he needs is a good start tomorrow – hope he’s heavier than all the frontrunners! Go Kimi!

Hi Evenstar Saima and to all !This Belgium Grand Prix announces itself completely crazy… In any case, even if Kimi is in 6th position, it’s a genius of piloting, the podium is completely possible!!!… I think that we will enjoy ourselves tomorrow to see the Grand Prix… lol… Have a Great WeekEnd everyone, Bye-Bye, see you and Good Luck to KIMI …

Wow… what a quali. that was, the best this season by far…the times were so close and Fisichella gets pole…OMG!!!!!!!!!!I have to say kimi gave me a hell of a scare in Q2 thinking he won’t make it to the next one but he did thank God…Q2 was definitely a real shocker: Alonso, Hamilton & Button all 3 knocked out!!!!!! (poor Jenson 😦 but not Alonso though :D)Q3 was even more surprising, i guess P6 isn’t bad at all, i know Kimi gave his best but his car just wasn’t good enough but not the ideal position (and being on the dirty side too) to fight for a win 😦 but you never know what will happen in Spa it’s a very unpredictable track, Kimi should easily make up 2 positions at the start with the help of KERS… i’m sure he would have improved his result if he was able to get another run but we have to wait and see the car weight, etc….to have a clearer view of how things will end up tomorrow hopefully he can get a podium at least if not a win…Fingers crossed!!!!!!P.S: I noticed there was a lot of coverage on Kimi since a very long time which is amazing :)Good luck Kimi 😉 and Keep Flying!!!!!!!!

Hello all – I’m very proud of Kimi!Kimi’s P6 is more or less what I was expecting – it was clear in Q2 that the car balance wasn’t so good on light fuel (just like in Valencia) so that’s why Kimi was just P9. With more fuel added, he’s a bit better. Smile He certainly looked good on the hard tyres though.I’m very excited for tomorrow. Fisichella and Force India will have an interesting first lap for the first time. Good job they did!Nice to see BMW/Nick up in 3rd, they did good aswell. Shocked not to see Webber in the top 3, really…Poor Badoer, his off/crash wasn’t just his fault only, that Torro Rosso/Red Bull should’ve helped him out earlier before the corner. I guess they didn’t know it was him or Kimi. Luca obviously just doesn’t have the racer’s blood in him, that’s why he’s been a test driver all his life lolAnyways, come on Kimi, see you at the front after the start tomorrow!!!!!!!! KEEP FLYING!!!!

Hehe! I can’t wait for tomorrow!! A podium is definitely possible – a win, with some luck. It was a wonderful sight seeing him just flying on the track! Sectors 1 and 3 look good, so that will make up for lost time on sector 2. Plus Fisi admitted to an "aggressive" fuel strategy – it’ll be interesting to see what his race pace will be like. Let’s hope that Kimi has a decent amount of fuel on board. Poor Luca – Rob Smedley’s face just said it all.

OMG….if Kimi can win tomorrow, I’ll be so happy.I agree Matt, Spa is my favourite circuit too, the speed carried in the sweeping corners is the best.

Hello all!I am so excited for tomorrow’s race! First of all Spa-Francochamps is my favourite track on the calendar, and secondly, I think Kimi’s qualifying performance was excellent. He did even better considering the fact that most of the cars in the top ten were more competitive than the F60. Kimi is in a good position for the race, as most of the cars infront of him are very very light, and he is also the first of the KERS-equipped cars, so he should pass a fair few cars at the start. So, I conclude that this is going to be one of Kimi’s best chances to win a race, this season.Good luck Kimi! You are the King of this track!Keep Flying Kimi!

@ ribbonseal: Gosh you’re so right Smedley’s face just said it all, bet he was thinking " somebody please get me out of here…Felipe baby please get well soon or i will go crazy"@ Saima: You speak words of wisdom "doesn’t have the racer’s blood in him, that’s why he’s been a test driver all his life"…couldn’t agree more 😉 lolllllllllll

Yeah…Alonso,Button, Hamilton and more should’ve been in the top 10. So Kimi really worked hard in Q2.

Kimi was just perfect throughout the quali but his car was not quick enough to get a front row, hopefully he’s carrying much fuel than those ahead of him. Can’t wait for the weight of every car which made Q3 particularly Fisi’s one and Kimi. i guess Kimi is not happy of the car because it seems he was shaking his head after his first lap in Q2. Anyway Ferrari should be very grateful to him as none of the other drivers would do better than Kimi’s doing actually. Congratulation to Fisi, it seems that he’s trying to convince Ferrari to take him 4 the Italian GP. lol

Hey guys, check this out – Badoer hits out at the media, and serves them right!!! >———————-Q & A with Luca Badoer source: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/78139Q. Do you have any regrets about being called up to race for Ferrari?LB: I’m very happy. Apart from the press. The only problem for me, and for the team, is the press. Ninety per cent have written really bad things. And so for me there is no point because I don’t read the newspapers, so everybody can read what they want. But the people around can be influenced by this, so I don’t like it for this. Apart from the press and am very happy at this moment, because I drive for Ferrari and I drive in F1. I’m improving every time and I know how difficult it is. Other drivers came to me and said we know how difficult it is. And so for me it is really a good period, a good moment, press apart. ——————————-

Poor Badoer as well. The media is really too much. Keep attacking when they find a target… … I really hate them. Anyway couldn’t do anything. Regarding the race today in Spa, I’m very nervous because people expected Kimi to end high or win the race. I wonder how is F60 race pace & the reliability? Really wish everthing is working well & make the dream come true… …
