Sept 11th, The Belgium Grand Prix!!! (and my birthday)

Wow, what a splendid 18th birthday, nothing better than racing at my favourite track and seeing a Mclaren 1-2 finish *ahhhhhhh*

Alas, we are not there yet! So i will continue daydreaming that until the time comes.

God Speed Kimi, God Speed.

Saturday Qualifying Drama (BIG TIME!)

What an excellent qualifying session. After the doubts and worries of the race tomorrow, that was all put aside and we witnessed some fantastic laps from the drivers. Kimi and Juan in particular ofcourse! A 1-2 finally for Mclaren in qualifying.

And it counts. Now the real game had begun. Alonso needs to prove to us if he can fight for the title, the real way. Where its in doubt of winning it tomorrow. With Trulli in the Toyota infront of him, he will get held up. Or he can overtake him like a mad hungry race driver.

We shall see if Alonso really is what people assume he is.

And we shall see Kimi and Mclaren fight. Its just getting started now, in Spa, where we all know Kimi is the new master of the track. His spectacular win last year from starting 13th place, just shows what he can do.

Can he do it in the rain tomorrow though?

It will be a race and an 18th birthday to remember for sure.

Keep Flying Kimi, You Are The Man.
Rock on Mclaren!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday Race Day

Today, Kimi won the Belgium grand prix. It was an interesting race, as what everyone thought it would rain, but it didnt. The rain was not necessarily a problem or a worry for Mclaren. They made the right choice, their pitstops went well. They didnt mess around with their tyres like Ferrari did. But so did many other teams not make the right choice at first.

But speaking about tyres in this race isnt really why it was interesting. The whole time throughout the grand prix, we spectated the two Mclarens up in front, leading a 1-2. Juan Pablo had a flawless start, Kimi was rather slow off the line but kept his second place. And for a while everything was going PERFECT. Alonso was being held up by Trulli. There were many scraps of racing in the midfield.

It was so satisfying seeing the Mclarens leading, in a league of their own. Kimi started to gain on Juan until Fisichella in the Renault spun off through Eau Rouge resulting in a hard crash. Thus everyone ran into the pits for the chance of refuelling or changing tyres. It got packed and cars queued entering their pits. Mclarens stops went very well, and everyone got back out and the grid was all mixed up again. After Fisichella’s crash, everyone had to put up with staying behind the safety car. Things didnt go well for Renault then…

After a few laps went on, things returned to normal, with Juan and Kimi upfront together. Now Kimi began to gain in on Juan, setting in fastest laps. All camera’s kept turning to the Mclaren pit, keeping track of Ron Dennis and Martin Whitmarsh and their expressions. Kimi needed to be infront of Juan. It only makes sense for the driver’s title.

Very soon then, Juan Pablo entered the pits, allowing Kimi to take the lead for the first time in the race. Alonso was atleast 28 seconds off Kimi and Juan. The Renaults obviously arent competitive enough to BEAT the Mclarens. And there I was, cheering for a 1-2 finish, the first 1-2 of Mclaren since 2001. Things totally turned on us yet again.

Pizzonia in the Williams hit into the back of Juan in second place, causing both to retire from the race. My face was still with awe! Juan seemed motionless as he sat in the cockpit. And so were we all, at the same time, motionless with him.

Kimi was flying, thinking this will be the best race ever for Mclaren this season. Its what they truly deserved. But now I can say Mclaren are truly jinxed. Big time. Therefore it was a bittersweet win yet again for the team. At times when Kimi needed Juan to be there, he is never there. And its not Juans fault. He has had just as much bad luck as Kimi.

Moving on, the podium seemed very different. Why? Because Ive never seen Kimi so happy. It was a joy to see him so happy like that but I just could not manage to show any emotion, but a sore smile. It is my 18th birthday today, i was expecting both Mclarens to take over the Constructors lead. But in the end…its always a pain in the ass. We deserved a flipping 1-2 finish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

F*CKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Alonso that is) He is NOTHING. All he has had to do is just sit there and wait. All he does is benefit from Mclaren and its fecking unfair.

Alonso may be the Title Inheritor, but KIMI is the REAL CHAMPION
