All good things come to an end

Hello my dear fellow Raikkos. It has been a long time.

First of all I would like to congratulate Kimi, together with co-driver Kaj, on winning his first ever WRC super stage at Rally Germany over last weekend. Well done guys! It is only a matter of time before he wins more and then a whole rally itself. There is no doubt about this. Kimi is the fastest driver on the planet, the most talented and the most versatile. If anyone can achieve being both F1 and WRC champion, it’s going to be the Iceman.

So keep flying Kimi…
…and may your future shine as bright as your face.
Some of you may have been wondering if I’ve been alive, or stopped being a Kimi fan (God forbid!) altogether with the lack of enthusiasm here at KRS. But the truth is life took a turn into the unknown for me just as the end of 2009 approached and 2010 is proving to be a challenging year for me just as it is for Kimi who took a brave step into unknown territory of the WRC. I haven’t been able to focus properly on Kimi’s career, even if I wanted to. That’s just life.

I’ll get straight to the point. I am very sorry to say that KRS will no longer be and this post is the last.

There are many reasons that played their roles in making this decision but I am a Kimi fan at heart and always will be, no one can take that away from me. The past nine years or so have been very special to me. I will never, ever forget them. I wouldn’t change anything, and do not regret a single moment. I couldn’t have followed a better sportsman and human being than Kimi and I’m extremely proud and honoured to have been his fan. I’ve never spoken to Kimi but if I had the chance, I’d only say thanks. He didn’t ask for me to do all this.

I have also made some amazing friends throughout these years. I have seen some amazing stories and have been part of some of them. The fan community has been a second home to me. I’d like to thank you all for that. I’d also like to thank those kind people from all over the world who supported me and even donated money to help me, or just as recognition for what I’ve done. Thank you so very much. I still have a bunch of 2010 poster calendars left over so if you’re interested, send me an email or visit the forum. The forum will still be running and is as busy as ever so don’t forget that.

Please do drop by, say hi and you’re welcome to share your thoughts in the Guest thread if you haven’t been able to here. The dedicated fans are still following Kimi’s rally career with plenty of photos and videos to be seen in the forum, so you won’t be missing a thing.

Lastly, all the photos and videos on darkmaiden.spaces.live.com won’t be deleted and will remain online for all of you. KRS will just be a huge archive of Kimi-info and treats. Windows Live have been a nuisance lately so if you’ve had trouble viewing anything… it’s because of them and I can’t do anything about it unfortunately.

Thanks once again and I’m sorry to end things on a high moment in Kimi’s WRC career, but it’s the best time really. Keep flying!
