Q: What was your rally-experience like?
KR: It was pretty cool even though I didn’t get the result I was
expecting for. I had my own problems with the car so I might not have
finished the rally even if I wouldn’t have rolled. Still I enjoyed the
happening with all I had and it was great. Everything worked really
great there and for that only it was a great experience.
Q: You have a new team mate here. How will it affect you?
KR: It won’t affect me. It’s all the same who my team mate is. I try
in every situation to only do my own work as well as possible. In that
sense the situation is a bit different that Luca hasn’t raced for a
long time. He has still been a part of the team for a long time and it
will be interesting to see how he performs. We will all try to help him
as much as possible but even that has it’s own limitations. Hopefully
we will both have a good weekend ahead of us.
Q: What can we expect from Ferrari here?
KR: The track and the weather have a strong impact on our car’s
ability to perform and if we get everything to work 100 % we can fight
for the podium. After Friday practice we will have a better picture of
how strong we can be here. It isn’t going to be easy in any case. On
the other hand this track’s character is close to Monaco and Hungary so
in that sense our car might be in a better stitch here but let’s first
see what we can accomplish in Friday practice.
Q:What could your realistic goal be here?
KR: We will try to get on the podium but as I said we don’t know if we succeed in it. We’ll see how things go rolling on Friday.
Q: Felipe Massa said he was hurt because you didn’t call him after the accident. Why didn’t you call him?
KR: It’s not my style to call in these matters and when I heard that
he is okay I didn’t feel the need to do so. The most important thing is
that he is recovering fast. I hope that he gets back to business soon.
Sometimes the media just wants to make matters like these unneccesarily
big.
Q: Now that you are driver number 1 because Felipe is away, does that increase the pressure to succeed?
KR: We have never had a driver number 1 and number 2 in Ferrari. And what
comes to the rest of the season a lot depends on if we get new
development parts which isn’t sure, we might have to cope with this car
for the rest of the season. Of course we strive to do our work as well
as possible and I don’t feel any more pressure now than I’ve felt
before.
Q: Does KERS help on this track and can that ‘help’ be compared to what you exprienced in Nürnburgring?
KR: It has been helpful on every track we have used it. I’m sure it helps also on this track.
Q: Are you sure that you will drive for Ferrari next season?
KR: I have a contract for next season and I am going to respect it. Of course anything can happen but it isn’t up to me.

well, i would say Kimi could have a podium finish in here if there is no engine problems or pit stop blunders like it was last year…really hoping for a good weekend for Kimi!hahahaha, if what felipe said was true, then i wouldn’t want to have any respect for him…there’s no surprise to me that Kimi didn’t call him, but i’ve heard that Kimi sent a card to felipe wishing him well while he was in the hospital.sometimes i think felipe baby is too childish, haha, no offense to anybody here…anyway, GOOD LUCK KIMI!!!=D

Sometimes I really hate the media because they always ask the questions about retirement. Can they just stop? It’s enough. They take a bad attitude toward Kimi. It’s very disgusting.

Media didn’t ask Massa if he will drive for Ferrari next season because they know he will but not Kimi. Looks like Kimi will drive for Ferrari next season only provided Ferrari don’t break the contract. This is really isn’t up to Kimi. What’s happening now looks like Ferrari is going to break the contract like what media said I really hope my guess is wrong. errrrrrr I really hate Kimi is in this kind of situation. No matter what happen I hope I can see him in F1 for another 3-5 years eventhough he might drive for other team. It is ok, the most important thing is show the F1 world that he still can be champion in some other team. No matter what happened to Kimi, he is still my the only purpose to watch F1 🙂

Good luck to Kimi for Valencia!! His comment about next season sounds rather ominous though 😦
