F1 GP Highlights: Monaco 2009

https://i0.wp.com/img27.imageshack.us/img27/5543/evenstarsays.png Hello! After my little break away from home this week, I spent all day today working on this video – approximately 11 hours. I hope it’s worth waiting for, as last weekend at Monaco was good for Kimi. But just like Kimi felt disappointed with 3rd place, I also feel disappointed with this video as it was such a headache to finish. I’m not particularly happy with it; the video sound isn’t as smooth as I’d like for the trance tune which is really cool and summery and I suggest you download it from the link below (so for best listening please use headphones), nor is the quality of picture good in some parts. But I didn’t want to disappoint the fans who have waited for this. Having said that, I did try my best to make it worth the delay, even if I wish I did give it a miss. Kimi’s rally in Italy didn’t go too well either today – ARGH! The Turkish Grand Prix next week better bring some luck because we could do with some happier times. But we’ll keep striving…we’ll keep flying. I need to rest my wings (and eyes) right now though, haha!
Lots of love,
Evenstar

  4. although words are sometimes really unnecessary still i thought i must write about my feelings while watching your video, saima! why are you so modest saying you are disappointed with your work? It is great, and it has a wonderful balance – the first part so quick, full of motions, the music is booming (even without headphones…), and the second part is more beautiful, at least to me… the tired, a bit sad kimi – still with resoluteness in his eyes! I enjoyed your video so much, dear girl – and extra thank for your choice of depeche mode for this part – i hope dave gahan will be healthy soon (they should give a concert in budapest on june 23)11 hours working, omg, you are exploiting yourself! heal your eyes, have a rest and "enjoy the silence" – till Istanbul!!!

  11. Hi Saima! You work is again excellent. I just watched the whole video and there is nothing wrong with it. It is great!Sadly Kimi had to retire in Italy, but I really believe that he can win in Turkey next weekend. BTW. I heard from Finnish media, that Kimi listens "hard rock" before race. It might be, that this following is one of Kimi’s favourites (sorry girls, there are not any handsome man in this video…):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12CNBbw2N-MI pretty sure, that Felipe Massa is not listening this kind of music…

  12. Thanks Matt! and Pekka! Cool :)So…apparently Kimi psyches himself up before racing? To hard rock music? Wow. Er…that’s kinda typical, not sure I like that LOL he’s a mad driver anyway, I didn’t think he needed to excite himself before a race. In a recent interview, he said that driving is the relaxing part of the GP weekend – it’s his job as well as his passion so….

  13. Saima, this is a brilliant piece of work and a bit sentimental, being Kimi & Ferari’s 1st podium for 2009.There’s nothing wrong with the video. You’re so humble and spending 11 hrs to complete this for all Kimi’s fans is really a respectable action. All your works create a significant passion of knowing Kimi, esp to his new fans.Have a good rest!!! Can’t wait for this weekend actions in Turkey.Keep Flying Kimi!!!

  14. Thank you Saima for the excellent video !! And I agree that listening with headphone is so much better!!And Pekka, thanks for the music video. I think I can understand why Kimi listen to this type of music before the race – it actually has a calming effect after you listening to it for a while :))Keep flying Evenstar!!! Keep Flying Kimi!!!

  16. Heh heh. I don’t know if Kimi really listens Kotiteollisuus (that’s the band name). His trainer once said, that Kimi listens some Finnish hard rock before race, but I don’t really know if that is true. Maybe he likes more this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6VzdtmrP6YIn Turkey Kimi wins!

  17. @evenstar: thanks a lot for this ‘podium’ video. It was time to see Kimi drinking champagne again.I think Kimi likes a band called Lordi. To me it’s enough just to see them. http://lordi.fi/ Don’t be alone at home in the night when you want see it :-)Keep flying for Turkey, Kimi. I go to Italy and want to see the real tufosi! Good luck.
