Ferrari on Ice (almost)
Kimi Räikkönen has invited the Ferrari team to an unusual event at Canada ahead of the Grand Prix: a hockey game in the famous Bell Centre.
In the Bell Centre – the home stadium of the "Montreal Canadians" and
yesterday a magnet for all fans of world star Alicia Keys – on Wednesday
will take place a rare occasion: a hockey game, organized by world
champion Kimi Räikkönen.
While Michael Schumacher invited the Ferrari team to karting at Kerpen,
Kimi brings the Reds – well, however not on the ice: the risk of injury
would be too large, if they would actually put on skates, so there will
be a lot less slippery ground.
There will also be hockey legend Patrice Brisebois, a good buddy of
Räikkönen, who will run a Ferrari F430 at the framework programme.
Brisebois on the unusual abilities of his opponent: "Some are not quite
clear whether they take the stick left or right, so they switch."
Kimi Räikkönen is very different. Gino Rosato, logisticians at Ferrari
and for him Montreal his home GP: "Kimi is an excellent hockey player.
He has a good eye and a safe hand. Felipe Massa, however, is very quick
but I would not put him on the ice."
20 Italians who have only once a year a hockey stick in hand, would
certainly be a show, but the Ferrari festival will be held, as was
previously the kart races from Schumi, behind closed doors.

Now that’s good spirit! Kimi treats his team to a fun time as if to say – "Hey, I know I stuffed up at Monaco but I love you guys and let’s go kick some butt this weekend!". I’m sure the team appreciate it and it’s not as if Kimi is new to ice hockey, he’s always had a passion for the sport and did promotions with it during his McLaren days.
