PhotoKimi’s new way of communicationg to the team? That’s the fighting spirit! GRRRR!!! As long as it works, I don’t mind, LOL! Good boy Kimi, sticking up there with Massa and the McLaren’s….hopefully by tomorrow’s last practise session Kimi will have a stronger package to be able to challenge for pole position. He really needs to find any way for an assault upon every single rival, including the BMWs’.

US GP Friday quotes: Ferrari
Kimi Raikkonen – "I am reasonably happy with how today went. This afternoon, we definitely improved the situation over the way it was in the first session. There is still work to do on improving the car’s set up but I think we can be competitive up against our main rivals. One thing that is certain, is that we will put all our effort into achieving that."

Well, the BMWs’ are becoming another problem to sort out for Ferrari. They’ve had good qualifying pace since Australia and they are getting stronger, along with McLaren. Looks like the challenges for podiums will be between the two German manufacturers. Ferrari’s lack of pace may be down to the softer tyre compounds, whereas the McLaren cars work better with them rather than the hards. Kimi was using the hard compound, but Vettel on the softs was only a tenth quicker. Also, the F2007’s long wheelbase design may be proving to be a problem in the mickey mouse section of the track, slow and curvy like Monaco, they lose most of their time in the middle sector. Hopefully Kimi can get a stronger car set up today and be prepared fully for qualifying. He needs to make an assault just for a little flame of hope in this championship.

Vettel, who replaced Kubica for this weekend, seems to be doing a solid job keeping near Heidfeld while covering the most laps in preparing himself for his first F1 grand prix this weekend! Oh and take a look at how close Hamilton came to the wall into turn 13! –
