The Japanese Grand Prix 2005

Sunday Race Day

Im rather speechless, and need to watch it again, as i went straight to bed after it finished, thought i couldnt sleep! Smiling constantly.

Im very very impressed. So glad it was NOT a wet race. Would have been more dull. But the race was great! Alonso’s racing was very very good, and Michael, well, what can i say, he is not a seven time world champ for nothing, it was excellent seeing him hold off Alonso and Kimi for some time, he knows exactly how to handle on coming pressure. The three of them together was really a good sight to watch

Some fantastic overtaking moves, ofcourse from Alonso and Kimi. Alonso’s on turn 1 was very smart, he was being safe rather than going on the outside, risking to go off the track.

But Kimi’s, he just showed it can be done smartly too. After gaining such a quick slip stream, just inches away from Fisi’s rear wheel, Kimi overtook on the outside. Amazing. Im so proud of him, im so proud of the team, after the crap they get, penalties and such, they ALWAYS fight back and thats what makes racing enjoyable.

Sato was being pretty stupid yet again. T’was funny seeing the stands with all that support for Takuma, they think the way he races is proper racing lol Loved the comment Tony Jardine made "He needs talking to" tut tut tut.

As for Juan, well, what a shame! He was on a roll, like both Alonso and Kimi, yet that idiot Jacques has to be a twat again, and not bother ‘looking’ at what drivers behind are doing, especially when your driving all over the place yourself. Juan tried to overtake Jacques after he made a mistake in the chicane, which meant Juan had a better chance at having Jacques. But he ignored Juan and pushed him off the track. Short race for Juan then 😦

Anyways, Juans retirement was made up for, with this glorious win from Kimi. Kimi was on his own another time in a race and there was no point being a team player, he is the only one there. Go for the win and KEEP ON FLYING! From 17th place to 1st is an amazing achievement.

I really hope my support for Kimi has shown its worth to some people, and that im not an obsessed fan. He truly takes my breath away with his bravery, unlike no other driver.

This Mclaren MP4/20 got the win. Kimi served the car to its glory. And seeing Ron so emotional like that, tore up my heart, because its exactly how ive always felt for the team, when things seem dire, and you beat it, thats what true racing is. Thats where true feeling comes in. When you actually fight for these wins, its the best thing in the world, despite the drivers title taken. Ron was so emotional, he was crying. Lump in the throat and all. Made me teary too.

Alonso did a great job too, eventhough his two fantastic overtaking moves on Michael seem now, not much worth as Kimi still got infront of Alonso, and you know, shows just how good Mclaren are against Renault tactically. And how, in contrast of Kimi/Alonso’s overtaking moves to turn 1 really are their own special things.

A well deserved outcome in this race, well deserved!

Keep Flying Kimi
