—–>Kimi Raikkonen on pole position, with title leader Fernando Alonso in 3rd grid place. Juan Pablo Montoya in the far distance, last at the grid. Sunday was a day full of anticipation, for fans eager to see a Mclaren 1-2 finish. Yet it was also a day of doubt in some hearts. You can say first we must see joy in order to enjoy it.
But we witnessed no joy at all for Kimi. After such a great start, defending his position beautifully into turn 1, after flying away, gaining half a second each lap on Alonso, building a larger and larger gap between them, seeing his team mate Juan fly past all the cars ahead of him trying to reach the front….it all came to a stop for Kimi.
Out of a 67 lap race, Kimi retired on lap 35. The car mocked Kimi and his reach to the Title. It was an human error, which caused the car to stop. An error not by Kimi, but by someone elses hands. A fluid leak triggered by human error. A pressure relief valve had apparently not been re-fastened properly after a check.
Now Kimi is adrift 36 points from Fernando Alonso, in the race for World Champion which now, looks pointless to Kimi. Had Juan not messed up in qualifying, he could have and should have taken Kimi’s place, the win. Instead Alonso snatched yet again a victory from Kimi, increasing his lead over the championship. Juan managed to get which was his full potential, 2nd place.
—–>Why oh why God? Why? Kimi hasnt done anything wrong? Why is this the second time in which Kimi’s title hopes go up in smoke?
—–>There are so many things to say starting with "It could have been" and "It should have been" but in the end, what can us fans do but share the pain our Hero Kimi has to go through 😥
—–>Kimi didnt show any sign of anger as he pulled up his car to the side. He stood up slowly and walked away. He left the circuit sneakly avoiding the press and crowds of cameras around him.
—–>Yesterday only leads me to heighten my suspicion bar on why these things happen to Kimi. Its not the car. Its people. Atleast someone. Whether its a mechanic or someone in the team, it isnt of Kimi’s making.
Anyways, i really aint in the mood for this crap. Kimi needs a big revolution behind him and its not his car which needs it.
