Updated news: Ferrari: Kimi concentrating more on four-wheels
From Eurosport.com
Formula One world champion Kimi Raikkonen said on Thursday he would like to follow his Ferrari predecessor Michael Schumacher in trying out a MotoGP bike.
Schumacher, the seven times world champion who retired at the
end of 2006, took part in his first competitive motorcycle race in
Italy at the weekend after previously trying out Ducati’s MotoGP
machine.
"I only saw some pictures but I don’t know anything about it,"
Raikkonen told reporters at the Bahrain Grand Prix when asked if he
seen Schumacher’s race.
"I never tried road racing. I have done motocross often and
that is more normal for me," added the Finn, who is chasing his second
Formula One victory in a row on Sunday after last month’s triumph in
Malaysia.
"For sure I want to try the MotoGP bikes once, but we’ll see."
Schumacher finished fourth in his KTM minor series race at Misano on Sunday and recorded the second fastest lap.
Wow, that would be a treat for us fans! Kimi should definatly give it a go after he’s finished with F1 at least, but although I never want to even imagine that day he leaves, I’d love to see him enjoying himself in more sports. Back in 2002, he did a promotional cross bike run for ex- McLaren sponsor West and more photos of that are available in the forum! Also, in the KRS photobucket you can check all the latest pictures from Bahrain.
