Kimi : Gimme More

Also denying media gossip that he and his wife Jenni are now ready to
have children, the Ferrari driver – nicknamed ‘the iceman’ – explained
that he will pursue victory with the same rigour in 2008.

"I am still exactly the same," Raikkonen, 28, told the German newspaper
Bild-Zeitung.
"If I race, then I want to be at the front. It is never fun to be fifth
and sixth, and even a third place no longer feels good to me.
"I only want to win," he added.

But while some may be hoping that his victory will mean the Finn isn’t as hungry for success this season, Raikkonen has warned them that he’s as determined as ever before.

"One title is already better than nothing. But naturally I want more," he told the Bild. "Anyone who believes I am happy and content (with one title) is wrong.

"It won’t be easy, but we start the season again with the goal of winning another Drivers’ trophy.

"If we don’t win it we will be disappointed, but I guarantee we will be strong."

Massa: Poor Reliability Cost Me Title

https://i0.wp.com/img145.imageshack.us/img145/4444/r20080115t1246164tx1.jpgFelipe Massa has slammed his luck in 2007 and hopes for better when the new season gets underway.

The Brazilian spent much of last season in a four-way battle for the world championship title before his challenge faded, leaving Ferrari team-mate Kimi Raikkonen to pip McLaren pair Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso to the driver’s crown.

However, despite eventually being a reasonably distant fourth, Massa says only bad luck prevented him from coming much closer to glory, even the title, saying: "If I had a weakness last year, it was that I was less fortunate than he [Raikkonen] was.

"I am going to fight for the title. That is my goal for the season," Massa added in this week’s Auto Motor und Sport.

Massa was also at pains to point out the pressure he feels under as a Brazilian F1 driver as he feels he and his compatriots have been under extra pressure to perform since the untimely death of the brilliant Ayrton Senna in 1994.

"Rubens [Barrichello] had a particularly difficult task – everyone expected him to be Ayrton’s successor. I have also felt some of that.

"But I think my countrymen understand that I would have been the 2007 World Champion if my car had been more reliable.”
