Silverstone 2007 Wallpapers!
Sunday, Race
One word to sum up my whole 2007 British Grand Prix experience: Faith and Joy! Okay, that’s two words, but really, nothing can describe truly how I felt today at the track, cheering and watching Kimi drive a superb and flawless race yet again. And yes, if you thought you saw me on the tv again after the race, your eyes are not lying. The Kimi Raikkonen’s Space flag was a popular one! More of my experience will be up later, so keep tuned in here!

The race was great from where we were
sitting at Farm corner; Kimi was gaining into Lewis after a couple of laps which got me really
excited, each time they came around it was closer and I was making most of the noise in the grandstand, Lewis was braking
too hard and late most of the time.
We saw some of Massa’s moves as he climbed through the field infront of
us. I must say Massa did a brilliant job too. He really made up for
that grid stall. Would have been great if he tooks some points off
Alonso on the podium but..oh well.
Ferrari just beat McLaren today, badly
I was suprised at McLaren’s lack of race pace against the Ferraris’,
but it was clear from France that Ferrari, especially Kimi, are back
and their Silverstone test wasn’t just a test as people say about tests
lol
Great job by Kubica yet again, solid finish in his favourite 4th
place. The Renaults got a decent result in the end. I need to watch the
whole race again to understand what was happening with the Red Bulls
and Toyotas.
So yeah, a perfect 2007 British Grand Prix experience, my 3rd GP so far. Good results each year too, as in 3 different winners. I just knew I had to visit this year… Kimi in a Ferrari… and voila!
I just did my thing, being a nutter,
cheering Kimi as much as I can as I promised myself I would on behalf
of the Official Kimi forum! And I was quite successful. During Saturday qualifying, I got the already infamous flag
on television. On the driver’s parade today, my flag was waving high in the wind as it was
fitted on the fence and Kimi saw it and acknowledged me with a thumbs
up, and after the race was over and Kimi won, my flag came on television again. Keep Flying Kimi, indeed!

Kimi Raikkonen - 1st: "It was a great race for me. After my mistake in qualifying yesterday I was very disappointed, but today I was able to make up for it.
If I had managed to start from pole though, things would have been much easier. The car worked very well both on the soft and harder tyres.
"We were strong all weekend and I hope this trend continues over the
coming races, but I know how difficult that will be. In the first
stint, I tried to look after my tyres and save fuel. At one point I got
very close to Lewis but I didn’t want to take any risks hoping he would
pit before me.
"In the second part, I knew Alonso was on a different strategy and
would stop before me. I had to stay in touch and then push at the
decisive moment. I am very happy. We have made up ground in the
Drivers’ championship and there is plenty of the season still to go. We
must continue to push on the development of the car and we are working
in the right direction."

Saturday, Qualifying
Stunning qualifying sessions from Kimi and Lewis!
Raikkonen sorry to miss out on pole
"It was good, but unfortunately I ran off the circuit on exit on the
last corner and lost a lot of time, but nothing we can change anymore,"
said Raikkonen, looking for his second consecutive victory after
winning in France last Sunday.
"I am a bit disappointed, but we need to make a good start and it is a long race. We will see what we can do."
Raikkonen admitted the windy conditions made driving difficult again, although things were better than in yesterday’s practice.
"I think the wind has been quite difficult all weekend, although not
as bad today as yesterday. It is not too bad but it is the wind that
makes it more difficult," he said. Britain Saturday quotes: Ferrari
