Oh deary me.
All i can say is what happened that day was embarassing for F1. Only three teams raced. Well not raced, but drove around the track.
All 7 Michelin teams withdrew from the the grand prix due to an issue concerning their tyres. They were unsafe to cover the race distance. A cock up from Michelin is the start of all this, but the blame mostly lies with the FIA BASTADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Being so called "adults", they failed to agree on a solution with was possible for all 10 teams to race.
This led to only the bridgestone runners to participate in the race, only 6 cars.
The US fans, spectators were filled with rage and anger, throwing cans and bottles of beer onto the track. Most left the circuit during the race.
And look who got a 1-2 win. Ferrari. The shit team who were the only ONE team who disagreed with the other 9 teams.
As always, the FIA and Ferrari stuck together, even when it was for the worse of the sport.
They ought to be ashamed of themselves.
The FIA contradict their rules, dont know what the hell they want, and are deciding to penalise the INNOCENT 7 teams including Mclaren, BMW Williams, Red Bull, BAR and Toyota.
The teams have no responsibility for Michelins error. Yet the FIA like to punish the innocent. The teams who only agreed to race if a chicane was built in the track, for the only reason of safety.
But the FIA said no. So obviously the teams wouldnt race if it was undoubtedly dangerous.
We all saw what happened to Kimi Raikkonen in Germany.
But here, all drivers would have been a risk. By only trying to stick to the concern of so called safety, the teams were only refused.
How more stupid can the FIA get? Making a whole bunch of these rules were for the fact of cost saving and making the sport a whole lot safer. But when the teams try to compromise with safety, its the FIA who dont compromise. They contradict everything they do.
Thats why MAX MOSLEY, PRESIDENT OF THE FIA, NEEDS TO GET OUT OF F1 ASAP, OTHERWISE THIS IS THE DOWNFALL OF F1 AS WE KNOW IT.
