Anniversary of Kimi’s 1st F1 Victory

Today, on the 23rd March, was the day Kimi took a taste of F1 victory for the first time. At the 2003 Malaysian Grand Prix, the Iceman won the hottest race of the year, starting from 7th on the grid with the McLaren. He comfortably claimed his maiden F1 win 39 seconds ahead of Rubens Barrichello in the Ferrari.

Quotes from after the race:
Kimi Raikkonen: "I don’t think it will sink in until later," he told the post-race
press conference, before paying tribute to the team. "We have put so
much effort in over the winter. It is so good for us."

Team boss, Ron Dennis: "The first win is incredibly
important for a race driver." Asked if he had shed a tear on the
pitwall as he watched Kimi cross the line he replied "almost."

Kimi, nearly 4 years on you are driving a Ferrari, and the time will come soon when you will claim the F1 World Championship. Until then lets share a few memories.
